Wow..only short time for the big C day... (6more and who's counting)lol... Friday night we took the 2 grandson's out to see Christmas lights..we ended up at Science North Festival of lights..and also drove around that area ... what a lovely time we had... the 4 year old said he was cold LOLOL... it wasn't ..but he said now I quote " I sooooo need my ski pants"..lol... after 5 minutes him and I went to the truck to wait for 7year old and Papa... oh well..we drove for a while and enjoyed their company.. anyhow . I am not done with my daughter's quilt... just needing binding but she and her family are spending Christmas outside her province and said (she doesn't know what she's getting lol) that's ok if you haven't send it out..they won't be home hahaha....me .....so I have a little time to complete it... also need to do last minute shopping cause I haven't been able to... I'll be done soon... hope your almost there and of course I'm Counting the days ..... big supper here with 13 or 14 family members..woohoo... let me know how you are doing.... Wow.. in a winter storm...(we had snow day for us school bus drivers) we had severe weather storm warnings all night and until around noon... winds were gusting to 75km.. it was -32 with windshield, snow drifts all over the place..... BRrrrr..... it's different here from northern manitoba...this dampness makes it worse that the dry cold... it goes right threw to your bones and you can't warm up...well I can't unless I soak in hot bath..lol... Yep,, I have become a sucky at cold.... I'm still fighting this cold, it's now in my sinuses... and hard to shake off... I'm trying the Netty potty .. that's weird but helped out ... Anyway, I made "tourtiere" tradition can't miss ... (meat pies)... put the tree up , finally lolol and I also worked on the Dec/Jan tinner (for a secret person at the guild), think this one will be really nice... also organized (again) the cold room and the basement.. sheesh will it ever end...still finding few of the boys stuff...lol..oh well... We picked upt the two oldest on Saturday Eve to drive around to look at the pretty Christmas decorations... wow..have to go back to one of the girl's mom's place , like everyone said, she can't fit anymore there...lol....but pretty... now this weekend we go collect those two and see the light show at Science North, I'm sure they will love that..this time I'll bring the camera... I want to do a little stash busting.. looking for small projects for gifts to make for next year..hummm I have to surf a little and visit others blogs (lol, do this all the time lol).. well have to go make dish out supper (chilli time, with garlic bread)....woohooo... have a great week... SICK ME OH NO

So sad, my throat is sooo sooo raw couldn't swallow... and the guild Christmas Party is tonight...I dont want to share this one... I've had some sore throats but this is the big one...took everything I could think of... nothing worked.... then got chills... ok...so I sound like my hubby now...lol... but had to... hope the girls take pics for me..I sent my pasta salad and my secret sister gift over at a friends (thanks hubby)... now started to surf and look for remedies... home stuff.... I took that oil of oregano and I felt worse, took vits C and D and and and...so here it is...Eureka... I'm not joking people , this is cheap, good and this really truly worked... sore throat is now 90% better with only one try and boy I'll do it again...see the remedy.. re: apple cider vinegar...... omg...... I am so glad I tried this...but I didn't swallow all ,,uggg it's yukie....lol....better that than sore.....just sharing... anyway, I'll try to get pics and will get better fast (I hope) lol.... just a little update... EEEKKK , Time is ticking .... this is going to fast.... stop the clock or something LOLOLOL.... I would love to have one of these pretty fairy ABOVE TO HELP.... I'm getting some sewing done... our guild Christmas Party is this Monday and I'll be taking lots of pics to post... I've also been making wine for the holidays and for gifts. I am also still going to Zumba and loving it so much... we (a huge group of ladies) are all having a blast and funny how we all get along so well....I'm lucky to have such great friends.. Have to thank our instructor Carla who makes it so easy to love it... also her hubby Peter for helping.... .... Now I have few days left to finish off a few gifts...and also go have a little fun with my grandson's... can't forget those characters lol... Oh, have to make meat pie (tourtiere) this weekend ....EEEEEEKKKKK ... Kewl

As my granddaughter would say Kewl... we had a wonderful time last Saturday with a group of ladies who spent the day with a great teacher Janice Brice-Braden .. She taught curved piecing...below are pics of that day... Also, I am working on a mystery quilt given by our quilt guild..and did a tinner for the month of November..this is interesting the tinners, kinda like mystery block of the month and at the end of spring, we receive our tinner back with blocks that others made...any hoot. been busy all week again, still doing running around for daughter, until she can afford the insurance on the car.. uggg... but I enjoy spending time with the boys, she and hubby go run around and I do the grandma thing and spoil them lol... also I am taking 2 to 3 nights a week Zumba..woohoo that is so much fun, dance to get fit... here is a link to the wonderful instructor and gals we spend the eve with... http://www.zumbasudbury.ca/photos/ (click on Zumba to see) Carla and Peter are awesome...We went out last night (girls night out) with Carla and a 12 other ladies whom we all hit it off really good.. so much fun..scarry..lol..well time to get going and catch up on quilting lol... Nuts

Ok, so today was a little nuts... lol.... run and run and more running tomorrow.. should be better soon... daughter still needs a few things to be ironed out...I have worked on one of the ladies (a quilt guild) a tinner... this is the second round and I will take a picture and post it when I've completed it..also I'm working on a mystery quilt which is being done through our guild..this is fun..... Well, tomorrow is Remembrance Day and send all my thoughts and prayers with all the soldiers out there present and past... Also today was my dad's birthday, he would have been a 74 years young he passed away almost 8 years ago in 2 weeks still miss him. Anyhoot, short and sweet for tonight , getting back into the swing of things... Salute, Adios , Chao, Night nite, Bonsoirs mes amis...

COME BACK......

Wow, can't believe how time has flown and I've come back here LOLOL,,, sorry for not being here much but short and sweet explanation... Daughter (middle child) and her children (grand kids) 4 boys drove here all the way from Northern Manitoba this July with minimum stuff in a small little Kia Rio car, she drove 3 days (patiently with the boys) she had, had enough of the rigmarole there with ex...With little $$ and not much stuff except for personal papers and some pics and all the quilts I made (ah so sweet of her ) etc... they moved in temporarily here... .. we had downsize to a 2 bedroom and one downstairs (which also, son moved into) and there we were,,,wall to wall bodies lolol.. daughter and twins in living room (furniture all up against the walls) and the older two boys in my sewing room...being close to all my family and friends, there would be no way I wouldn't help out.. any hoot... they moved into their own place last weekend and we are still finding more things to move for them.. furniture (lots donated from friends and family) essentials, everything you could think of to start all over.... No feeling sorry for all of us cause we are so happy to have them all close by and spoiling them with lots of love. PS: I would do this all over again in a heart beat, love all my kids , grandkids and all family members and friends...

Now that we have this all sorted out and mostly all settled in... I have re re re -organized (yes no mistake in the re...lol..) all my rooms... wow. I can see the floors and furniture hahahahaha...I found my sewing room and back to normal, so now I am rehearsing some fabrics so I can get sewing... SMALL STUFF..

Ok.. so ... I'm sewing some Small Stuff...lol... in between waiting for surprise (I'll share later time) and now keeping myself from going crazy....sew....sewing few xmas gifts...has anyone else tried these Magic Pillowcases....wow..they are so cool and quick and yes, matching them up to quilts I've made as gifts..so.. More to add... Also had purchase a little kit from this lovely lady who came to do a trunk show at our guild (she designed the pattern and more) her name is Janet Rice-Bredin..check her out..(click on her name) the pattern is called " Floral Celebrations Table Set" I had posted previously the fabric and pattern ...so cute, and very french country..so someone special will be getting this set at Xmas..lucky ducky..I also got a few more of her patterns..Not sure about all yous lovely folks but it's been pretty hot here and not much rain..sew sewing is slow going... SUMMER FUN

Alright folks... this is the scoop and I'm sticking to it... Summer fun., who is having a great time???? Well , I can say for sure , we are having fun... we are still doing some lot clearing, and making it our little retreat...My son is helping out too... in between this all, I am coming home and , Yes, finished a project..for one..my quilt that I started at the Quilt Retreat this spring...woohoo.... done, done, done...now working a few place mates ... so.... yes, quilting and summer fun can go together here and there... here is a few pics of the progress at the lake and also my finished quilt..... hope you let me know what you've been working on , even if not on a quilt.... TIME AND MORE TIME

Wow.. time ... I need more time to get on here and blog... I've been having problems getting on ,,, dum router..thinks need to buy new one... anyhoot.. had our quilt banquet..that went really well... tried to upload pics but I keep getting disconnected because of router ..so I'll keep trying lol.. then we (a few ladies) went to our quilt retreat at the Red Lodge on Manitoulin Island..and between all this.. we've been at the trailer kinda fixing up the lot and making it cozy cumfy..lol... hope to get my pics on here.. OH,, also met my son in Marathon , he wanted us to keep him company half way to here, he's moved home..again...lol.....now he is settling in, he'll be seeking a new job but he wants to wait til next month Mr camp all summer lol.. loving he time off and sucky mama's boy......they (hubby and son) had their birthday yesterday (yep same date) and we will be celebrating on Saturday in form of a big BBQ..(my mom, sisters, bros in laws, us) should be good...We are also experiencing heat wave and weather network keeps calling for thunder storm but... :( ..only drizzled and made the humidity worse... hope it cools off soon or the air conditioner will be running til then... anyways... I appologize for the lateness and hope tomorrow we get a new router..this sucks... big time... everytime I post and it disconnects, I have to start all over LOL... so ttyl, Ciao, Salute, Night nite, Bonsoir mes amis.. SO CRAZY

This has been so crazy few weeks... time?? did anyone see that clock?? Well, mine is running so fast, it's like a time warp on fast forwards..lol.. I have finished the mystery quilt that I participated at one great quilt shop here in Sudbury (Country Quilters) but now just needing to add the binding.. somewhere in the time zone LOL... also we have been going to the Island and trying to re-arrange the lot, trailer etc..we had 3 loads of some type of gravel and levelling off few areas... next, I planted few native cedars from that area... they really grow quite nicely and will be my fence kinda..... and the last 3 weeks, driving school bus and have done 4 different routes...hope this one is the one I can keep til end of school lol. We (hubby and I) took the bus today (had permission to do so) and went on a dry run... had to follow this route sheet they give you and pretend to pick up and then drop off kids...... 3 hours driving the bus and before sat 2 1/2 hours from the Island to home... boy, I should have just set up a blanky in the back seat and camped there ..just kidding LOL.... hope everyone had a great few weeks and also a supper Mother's day... next weekend is the long weekend here in Canada... so more camping.. oh, last weekend , we couldn't do much out in the lot cause it snowed , yes the white shi ..stuff was there... and made lots of mucky mud... ...next weekend we hope to run pipes to the nice neighbor and will have running water so no more hauling it and so on... posting few pics... hope I can get on here more to update yous all....thanks for being patient and helpful......love yous all....
