RAIN AND RAIN AGAIN???

Well, this is pretty wet LOL.... not sure if we are having summer or stuck into the spring mode...... did Mother Nature just forgot to switch the season but..... ok so I'm whinning today , just had to for a little ,,,so ,, now done ..... We are still in the process (long time now) of fixing the bathroom...new tub in but a little leak ... Hubby is working on this,, I guess because we were gone for almost a month , seams like lonnnnngggg time....I just want a bath ,,,soak my bones,,,lol..and maybe a little bubble stuff too... good thing we put in new shower stall downstairs, woult be scary and smelly stuff......anyhoot,, since it's raining , I putted around the house a bit, then decided to get at the mystery quilt a little,,I finished some of the top , now need to put border on this,,oh the border is only 82 x 4 patches ...that should be really nice but that should be very long LOL... oh well, need to stop this wine and get a little boost with some cheese... I also meet some really nice ladies this week through my friend Maxine, we've had outngs of coffees and also a patio party..I'm now going to have to get myself a agenda book so I can make appointments (NOT) lol...just kidding, just having fun and the time has been going by so fast, humm can't remember what day it is or the dates but oh well, heheh,,,, so here is a few pics..also go check out Colleen's site crazyforprimitivequiltsandgardens she is having a 200th post give a way.. cool.... so Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nighty nite, Bonsoirs mes amis

Not sure about everyone else, but I went strawberry picking on Thursday evening (wow , fresh stuff) at a U pick place, lol,, You may think I'm off my rocker but, nothing like that in Northern Manitoba... anyways, today, did some running around etc...today..then finally said "enough is enough of that today" and cleaned my strawberries and froze a basket of them and the rest I cleaned and made a batch of strawberry Jam....wow now daughter in MB wants me to send her a few jars... hum,, nummy , nummy,,, ok I'll share, have to figure out a way to wrap them up without them braking in box... humm.... also worked a few minutes on my mystery quilt,,,only one more row to put together than have to work on the borders (4patch = 4 1/2 inch unfinished) need to make 82 of them little blocks lol... well that should keep me buzy buzy,,, if to nice outside, I'll have to go with the flow and do a little gardening...and maybe have a good chuckle of hubby riding the mower... so... HELLO HELLO

Well, I finally got some pics together,,, (see below) wow,, not easy to pic only a few..sooo many pics and so many places we went to... Not sure about all of you my friends, but feels like summer is going by so fast that we are missing out on the hot weather LOL..... I think (looking at the weather network) we are all in some kind of warped weather for this time of the year... or maybe its just me lol... so we drove to Newfoundland to visit friends who retired from Thompson and had a whale of a time..will be for sure going back ... we can now say we have seen Canada...woohoo... go canucks go.... Sorry, just had to add that....so, we come back home on Thursday late,,,,,Friday we go see sister and family at the lake ,,,decided to come home and pack up trailer (which I didn't finish unpacking) and pull it out there at HalfWay Lake and camp for the long weekend...phew, had a blast,,,now have more pics but will sort out and post on weekend...OH, I also yesterday started to work on my Mystery quilt , need to finish the top by the 14th of this month...lol.. then bring into the quilt shop to show that I've done my homework... WE ARE BACK

Wow, can't believe how we have travelled and now back ,,, summer seams to have be soooo buzy, lol,, we just grounded our trailer for a week or so...lol.... We had such a wonderful time travelling to Newfoundland and back, (from June to now).. got back on July 1st, then out the door we went ,,, unpacked and re-packed the 5th wheel and went camping at HalfWay Lake...meet up with my sister and bros in law, and also sister's friends,,, wow I feel so special... meet a lot of super duper , downhome, laidback, friendliest people in NL and now here too.. I will be short for tonight ,,, need to shower, I smell like bug juice LOL...those blood suckers,,(black flies mostly)..I am going to put together a little photo thingy for here this week... I need to sort and pic..that's going to be hard, so many great pics...so , just thought I'd check in...(been a while sorry) hope that you'll forgive me for not updating, had dial up in NL along with a 9yr old computer with 3 other's to share....lol.... soooooo... love yas all....Ciao, Salute, Adios, Nighty Nite and Bonsoirs mes amis.......

QUILT RETREAT WOW

Wow, what a great time... beautiful place the Red Lodge Resort, Little Current, Ontario (par of Manitoulin Island) ,,, everyone we went to visit (each cabin) loved their little get a way..lol... many different things to see and do ..I will for sure go again next year... ...... pictures tell a thousand words, I hope you enjoy them, was hard to choose which to put on here... would love to thanks, the organizers " Marj and Denise" also to Alvara for giving different classes..a lot of us set up our machines , tables etc..in our cabins, we went to see the demos at the main lodge then went to make the blocks, projects and our own thing .... but of course you always have a few who socialize more that anything (uh, who me and max ...lol...) too much fun then crunch time on Sat and Sun,,, we put the peddle to the metal... and did finish some blocks LOL.....could have had a little more warmer weather but I guess who cares,,, we were of course inside sewing and visiting, if it would have been to warm then , well,,, we would have done the nature thing and went to venture outdoors...hehe... so now that I'm back home,,, I have been busy loading up the 5th wheeler and getting ready for the cancer Relay Friday, then more Packing on Saturday and we will be off for Newfoundland,,,, that's exciting,,, we haven't been out east farther than Quebec... we have been all the way out west,,, now woohoo,,, vacation and visiting old friends from Thompson that we have known since day 1 when we moved there... I will keep posting (I hope to get connections along the way at the campgrounds) so Ciao, Salute, Adios, Night nite, Bonsoirs mes amis ,,,
