MYSTERY

Well, I did it.. the mystery quilt (top) is done,,, not very good though,, rushed through this to get done... should have taken time but,,,, not happy with points etc...the cutting size that was given to us (quite a few ladies) didn't fit ... anyhoot..its done , now I'll have to make time to quilt it... sometime in the near future LOL... today I completed a homework that was given to us at the quilt guild... (whoever wanted to participate) this is for a small workshop that will be given in the next few meets..a really cool handbag.. we also went today to my Cousin's fav place... I took few pictures and was amazed.. I guess living in northern Manitoba I didn't realize that swans and ducks are still around in the middle of winter lol...boy was I in the bush too long.. Oh and they are so friendly,, and hubby said they are hams... when they saw I had a camera,, they just swam towards me and were approximately 1 foot away..boy they are awesome..I'll have to do this again..OH,,, around supper the weather went for a spin....lol... it's now stormy.....Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nite nite, Bonsoir mes amis.....

PHEWEY, what a week....Monday night was great,,, my turn for coffee (and 2 other ladies) to help out and make something to bring for the quilt group,,,,,,well I made a few things and the chocolate one is called "Quilters Cake" it's quick and easy (ingredients,, 1pkg of Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix, to dry ingredients add 3 eggs, and 1 can cherry pie filling,,mix , put in bunt pan and bake,,,spread over cake while still warm nutella and serve) lol...good one,,,thanks to a quilting friend quite a few years back she share with us (Wendy G.)... and we also had a little workshop on stack & whack place mats lol... mine are now finished and on my table..pheww,,, also worked on mystery quilt , got last instructions and humm not quite enthusiastic about the colors,,,oh well, putting some of that together,,,and wow did we also have a dump few days ago,, it looked like Xmas,,how many days left LOL... I went to a little quilt group at a church basement and of course gabbed and had a wonderful lunch,,, thanks to Maxine for the Italian meal...wow, (((PS: her mama showed and taught us, her secret recipe for her nummy spaghetti sauce Tuesday evening,,, awe such a great lady she is (83yrs young) very sprite and Witty lady))) love her,,, Thursday run around day lol Friday, groceries and some cleaning and today,,, more cleaning , sewing rows of geese's and square in a square , visited sis in law and her hubby, and here I am , lol blogging,,, and rambling on...lol... hope I don't bore you to death.. In between it all daughter who's expecting twin boys, was in hospital for observation in Thompson,,,she and the boys are doing good,,,not much longer for new ones to arrive, could be next week...oh that will be 4 boys for her (5yr, 2 1/2 yr and new ones coming) ,,, other daughter has girl (teenager) and boy (10yrs) son,,, well,,,he's still looking for a sole mate... OK SO NOW THAT'S MADE ME FEEL REALLY OLD lol... awe maybe for a few minutes, OK now feeling better, feel young again,,,lol.. must be the good face cream....soooo Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nighty Nite, Bonsoir mes Amis,,,,

This has been a COOL week so far,,lol,,, Monday went to quilt guild, first time for me, if we wanted to participate we could bring 4 fat quarters and play bingo...well..... we laughed and laughed sooooo much fun,,,I won 2 bingo's lol...so 2 pkgs of 4 fat quarters,,,then I received from my secret sister , valentines' gift,,,boy, she must really love me lol...great goodies.... see pics... On Tuesday eve a few ladies went into the city to get our next clue for the mystery quilt... wow .... the flying geese will be migrating...hehehe... need to sew and sew,,, this will be the last clue , therefore I will keep a little longer before I post picture.... I think this will take a bit...also almost done the BOM (tisket a tasket click on sidebar to check out) need to do a little embroidery then done for this month's... then on Wed, I went over to Maxine's and started to sew, but we got distracted (which was ok by both of us) and visited and well , time flew and day was gone..... Today was a day of running around, delivered a valentine gift to mother in law, visited for a while then to my mother's to deliver her little gift and visited her also....sooo hummm time???? well tomorrow another day,,, I'm going to go over to Maxine's to sew.... she is making a beautiful quilt for her son's wedding anniversary..this is really gorgeous, I'll have to take pics when done... OH, this week,, I thought that the groundhog saw his shadow, 6more weeks???well we've had rain , snow is melting , the temperature above normal...so mr groundhog,,, think your getting you signals mixed up, but that's ok by me lol..... Awe, Shoot

Okie, Dokie lol,,,, having great time,,,had wonderful week ,,,too pictures of these little birds that have started to make themselves at home here in our backyard,,,sooo cute, found out these are called Redpole birds,,, awe, very funny to watch.. So I had some problems starting on Friday,,yep, decided that I was going to get brave just DO IT....set up my quilting frame, machine, couch potato quilt (as Jan would called it or ugly quilt, thanks for her sense great of humor and finally the stitch regulator,,, well shoot (not exactly those words, isn't this a family channel) lol..... the stitch regulator not working again... boo hoo.... all lights were on and nobody home.....so back to the quilt shop and Chrystal is sending back and getting ordered new one (once again) maybe the 3rd time will be the lucky charm... oh well.....lol... Saturday, decided needed to try it anyways, so I set all this back up with the manual stitcher thingy , took all day to figure out how to start , stop, cut etc.... and then I stitched,,,boy I was having fun,,,oops got late, so I stopped. went to my cousin's son's (13 years old)hockey game.... Sunday,,, did some house cleaning, then got brave , went into the quilting room and away I went ,,, sewed sewed sewed,,,then swore swore, swore,,, can you believe this,,,, no,,,, I didn't break the machine or anything like that, was 3/4 ways done when BINGO DAHHHH,,, I noticed that big, big, boo boo, I done dood it... shoot... well you can see from the pics,,, I didn't realize til now that the backing is backwards lololol,,, soooo ,,, off it comes and now the frog appeared (rip it rip it) ... lesson learned... always check double, check and triple check....lol... I was so gun hoe and excited that I finally got the nerve up and tried it, I thought I was on a roll,,,,....lmao..big unroll hehe,,, so back to rip it rip it and will try again as soon as I can release the frog.... ME SLUFFING??

Well, sorry for the delay,,, so ,,, ME SLUFFING? Not.. I have been busy , but should have taken some time off to blog lol...sorry again.... last week and this week was a big WOW... quilting , sewing, housewarming party, sunday super bowl...what's next...LOL,, more quilting and sewing and oops, need hubby to renovate a little corner..the old shower stall out the door....lol..was grundgy , old and not in condition for anyone......so,,,hubby needs to work a little on this corner to put in new shower downstairs...any hoot... did some sewing,, on Wednesday I went over to Maxine's (new friend) and we made a few thread catcher/pincushions , we had a grand time, then Thursday went to the quilt group's sewing day... made few more pineapple paper piecing blocks for the in house quilt, we had fun day. Friday did another thread catcher/pincushion and well Sat cleaning up and went to one of my cousin's, she had a housewarming party. Great time..lol..to slow mo on Sunday but promised to go to the Super Bowl with 14 other's (lots of cousins') lol... did end up having a wonderful time but still not sure about the game except that there are grown men patting each other on the butt, whacking on the head and smacking on their back, run like hell with a ball stuck under arm, then crashing on the ground.... lol.....just having fun,,, but for real,,, not sure why lol......had no clue who to cheer for except for whoever was running fast and long time...lol... back to the sewing room lol,, I also started a jelly roll quilt and joined in a group on facebook exchange charm squares,,, they have been sent out and can't wait to see what I get back...(hopefully get some back LOL just kidding) sooo yep Me sluffing off ,,,hehehe Not really,,,Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nighty Nite, Bonsoir mes amis
