Ekkks...already mid February..my bad :( appology for not blogging lately....Have been super busy and trying to get myself organized to take time to.... anyway... I have done a little sewing, alot of zumba'ing, spending time with grand kids, driving school bus and now showing daughter how to quilt..yeppers, she has borrowed my Ken and wants to sew..lolol...I have a few pics of blocks that I have done, 2 are for block lotto (monthly thing at the guild)..and tinners (monthly thing)...I have now also joined this "Ab Fab February" during the daytime..wow..hope I get strong abs from this...posted the calendar to show lol... The time has gone by to fast... yes I'm still sewing in between ..have a few gifts to pick up (gift cards) and I haven't even started baking LOLOL..that's ok cause my sister Joanne has lots and she loves to share them....I'm trying to stay away from to many since I worked hard to remove a good amount of lbs...lol..And can't believe it's the 18th and not much white stuff... hope we get some for Christmas... Can you believe this...only 14 more days til Santa comes around...Not sure about all of yous out there but wow....busy isn't the word...I've had lots of Christmas suppers and parties already and not done yet... 2 more this week...I have been doing a little sewing but need to do more LOLOL...A quilter/mom/grandma/wife/sister/friend work is never done..That's all ok though cause I'll keep on doing it til ??? I keep finding these new patterns and how too's and they look so much fun...my head is spinning..lol..hope you are all going blog hopping..started reading blogs and entering for give aways... Can't believe this is the last day of November..how fast is Christmas coming ...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..... no done of course with gifts.... but one thing, I have been sewing .....lol....yeppers I worked on "Farmer's Wife Sampler", also a few gifts that I'll post later (shhh) and the guild tinner , also blocks for the "in club quilt"... that's where or whomever wants to have their name in a draw for a queen size quilt made by guild members who participated..so for every 1/2hour you worked (on block or ???) you put your name in the draw once... It will be a good one..... Also this is not normal but... we didn't get the white stuff yet...they have been calling for freezing rain, snow, and winds.. think there's a dome above us cause it's been south (about 1hour from here) , north (few hours from here) and east and western Canada... this bubble won't hold up for long .... anyhow I'll post later...posting just a few pics...Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nighty Nite , Bonsoir mes amis...

Just a quick post....Friday night we had a Disco Zumba Party ...what a Groovy nite..there was over 100 zumba friends..some of us crazy ladies dressed up ..the picture on the stage was only the disco maniac costumes and some came a little later and we didn't get chance to gather them all in one pose..Anyways, I changed my mind on the jean thing and instead created a flare for our active pants so it would be easier to dance in.... (sister's and mine lol) also I have been sewing and can't post the pic of the Secret sister's gift yet.. but I also worked on other gifts which I will post after completed them..lolol...well I'll sign off for now and go sew some more .. Wow..yes I am posting LOLOL...I've been keeping busy...On the 10th it would have been my dad's 75th birthday, missing him lots...On Monday at the guild, I received a couple of gifts from my secret sister..oh my, she is really keeping me in suspense now...see pics below....I also forgot to take pic of the last tinner I made, sewed that to be ahead til December one comes around LOL..also had to come up with an idea for our zumba class (costume) for Friday (me and sister's) they are having Disco Zumba LOL.. I got few things from the Halloween store before it was gone, glasses,earring's and other little things, I didn't want to cut up a pair of jeans to add a bright flare in it as I had did way back because it would be hard to do zumba in so... I came up with a kinda added flare with elastic so we can slip it on our workout pants without any damage LOL...I'll get pics for next weekend of our attire ..Daughter wants to learn how to sew, I told her she could use Ken for a bit but first have to show how to use it..hope she has fun, mom does..lol...anyhoot, Pics below and Ciao, Salute, Adios, Night nite, Bonsoir mes amis..

Yep, I'm back...wow...did I miss a lot of blogging...well I did read a my friends blogs all through this time...I have been out at the lake most of the summer and fall...we have no Internet there..I do have my Iphone wish works but barely out there. Now that we closed up the trailer, back to the regular stuff...I have been cleaning up, fall clean up outdoors (when wasn't raining lol) and getting stuff ready for ..Yep Christmas...And 3 nights of Zumba to keep fit. Ok....Summer... who else is doing more of other than quilting ... I am quilting but not much.. hard to get at the sewing machine lol... Gardening took time, still have one flower bed to sort out... and the well...camping..Also my grand kids are such fun..and now sent for my other two older grand kids to come for 5 weeks and looking forwards to that..We'll be going to Toronto to pick them up.. I didn't want them to have to switch airports or planes and then get lost on me heehhe...so .. Just a short blog since I'm getting ready to set them up here to feel comfy..oh so looking forward to this...posting a few pics of flowers, grand kids, camping if that's ok... and yes still in between doing Zumba.. but tapering back also.. thanks for the comments and I'll be back soon... Ok... yes I've been naughty...not posting and all... so so sorry ... I fell like I'm drowning, so much to do.... I have however accomplished a few things.. the In-club quilt ..done... pictures to put on blog after the Quilt Banquet on the 30th and many more pictures... also finished the last tinner block ..forgot to take picture of the last two therefore **slap my hands** ouch..ok... also mailed out the quilted basket (swap) and so focused forgot to put my name and email for the recipient..I now will follow her blog til she receives it and have to let her know...dear me.... ok.... have to slow down...not sure when.... AAAAAA......lol....not sure if I'll have all my PHD's all finished in time.... AAAAAA again.... what happened to the time???? EEEEIIIICCCKKKSSSS...... Yeah, I created another PHD...I happen to see this on u-tube 10minute block by Susanne McNeill and of course I just had to try it out.. I happen (chuckle) to have a layer Cake "Cranberry Wishes" I didn't know what to use it in (40 - 10x10") and now have a cute little top that I need to purchase a bit of fabric to make a plain border then use the rest of the layer cake to make and outside border.... lol.... oh well more sewing ...Last Monday at the quilt guild we had a guess "stitch designer" have a trunk show for us. Linda Lachance (Northern Pine Designs) She has done beautiful work, check her website. I've posted some pictures but not all of them , she requested not to put her on Internet therefore I shall respect her wishes... And yes of course, mois did purchase a kit "Surf and Sand"..so cute but now have to purchase a stretcher bars so I can make this LOLOL... I'll work on that when at the lake on a rainy day. I also today did the tinner for March so I can move onto other projects...thinking I have to work on some PHD's and then post on my challenge... phew..busy also working on getting some ready for our quilt show in April and I'm on the committee so I'll try to get on here to post more.... anyhow have to get going.... Ok...so I'm still here LOLOL.. hiding and reading everyones blogs...not sure if because I'm feeling blah or blues or whatever you want to call it...I'm just not in gear to blog latetly .... I see a lot of blogs with beautiful, humongis homes with huge sewing rooms and kinda feel that I shouldn't be showing off mine.... but I so love my little house..easy to clean so I have time for more stuff, have a 5th wheel to camp all summer and I choose to downsize so we can do lots more...... so here I am..going to blog and maybe come back and blog more LOLOL.. I have been sewing and organizing the sewing of our in-club quilt and not finished yet...every week there is something that comes up (family stuff) and have to put mine aside ...I don't mind, I love to help out... maybe to much LOLOL... then I have every Monday quilt guild (not used to every week, think they should do less) it's fun but sometimes nothing is happening over there ...I also go 3 times a week to Zumba (see some photos lol) so enjoying this , I've lost 18lbs just dancing away ..I should be more energized ...getting there.. so here are a few pics of some sewing and also some pics of some of my grandkids at "Family Day" weekend..... Ok..I'm all over the map right now...not sure if it's heads of tails LOLOL.... anyhow I've been working on a few things, first is the in-club quilt..(I'm the coordinator)...we had a wonderful time last Saturday with few ladies to help out...this Monday we will be working on more blocks.. then the 22nd (sat) another quilt day for the in-club quilt.... then between running in town for other daughter so she can get some things for her little place...(can't wait for her to get her car on the road) ....and also, I finally finished one queen size quilt for my daughter in Calgary...was for Christmas but it got put on the back burner and well ... WOOHOO DONE ONE PHD..... also had to finish this month's tinner , cleaned today and well, now relaxing..trying to see which other project I can start finishing LOLOL... Wow..only short time for the big C day... (6more and who's counting)lol... Friday night we took the 2 grandson's out to see Christmas lights..we ended up at Science North Festival of lights..and also drove around that area ... what a lovely time we had... the 4 year old said he was cold LOLOL... it wasn't ..but he said now I quote " I sooooo need my ski pants"..lol... after 5 minutes him and I went to the truck to wait for 7year old and Papa... oh well..we drove for a while and enjoyed their company.. anyhow . I am not done with my daughter's quilt... just needing binding but she and her family are spending Christmas outside her province and said (she doesn't know what she's getting lol) that's ok if you haven't send it out..they won't be home hahaha....me .....so I have a little time to complete it... also need to do last minute shopping cause I haven't been able to... I'll be done soon... hope your almost there and of course I'm Counting the days ..... big supper here with 13 or 14 family members..woohoo... let me know how you are doing.... Wow.. in a winter storm...(we had snow day for us school bus drivers) we had severe weather storm warnings all night and until around noon... winds were gusting to 75km.. it was -32 with windshield, snow drifts all over the place..... BRrrrr..... it's different here from northern manitoba...this dampness makes it worse that the dry cold... it goes right threw to your bones and you can't warm up...well I can't unless I soak in hot bath..lol... Yep,, I have become a sucky at cold.... I'm still fighting this cold, it's now in my sinuses... and hard to shake off... I'm trying the Netty potty .. that's weird but helped out ... Anyway, I made "tourtiere" tradition can't miss ... (meat pies)... put the tree up , finally lolol and I also worked on the Dec/Jan tinner (for a secret person at the guild), think this one will be really nice... also organized (again) the cold room and the basement.. sheesh will it ever end...still finding few of the boys stuff...lol..oh well... We picked upt the two oldest on Saturday Eve to drive around to look at the pretty Christmas decorations... wow..have to go back to one of the girl's mom's place , like everyone said, she can't fit anymore there...lol....but pretty... now this weekend we go collect those two and see the light show at Science North, I'm sure they will love that..this time I'll bring the camera... I want to do a little stash busting.. looking for small projects for gifts to make for next year..hummm I have to surf a little and visit others blogs (lol, do this all the time lol).. well have to go make dish out supper (chilli time, with garlic bread)....woohooo... have a great week... So sad, my throat is sooo sooo raw couldn't swallow... and the guild Christmas Party is tonight...I dont want to share this one... I've had some sore throats but this is the big one...took everything I could think of... nothing worked.... then got chills... ok...so I sound like my hubby now...lol... but had to... hope the girls take pics for me..I sent my pasta salad and my secret sister gift over at a friends (thanks hubby)... now started to surf and look for remedies... home stuff.... I took that oil of oregano and I felt worse, took vits C and D and and and...so here it is...Eureka... I'm not joking people , this is cheap, good and this really truly worked... sore throat is now 90% better with only one try and boy I'll do it again...see the remedy.. re: apple cider vinegar...... omg...... I am so glad I tried this...but I didn't swallow all ,,uggg it's yukie....lol....better that than sore.....just sharing... anyway, I'll try to get pics and will get better fast (I hope) lol.... just a little update... I'm getting some sewing done... our guild Christmas Party is this Monday and I'll be taking lots of pics to post... I've also been making wine for the holidays and for gifts. I am also still going to Zumba and loving it so much... we (a huge group of ladies) are all having a blast and funny how we all get along so well....I'm lucky to have such great friends.. Have to thank our instructor Carla who makes it so easy to love it... also her hubby Peter for helping.... .... Now I have few days left to finish off a few gifts...and also go have a little fun with my grandson's... can't forget those characters lol... Also, I am working on a mystery quilt given by our quilt guild..and did a tinner for the month of November..this is interesting the tinners, kinda like mystery block of the month and at the end of spring, we receive our tinner back with blocks that others made...any hoot. been busy all week again, still doing running around for daughter, until she can afford the insurance on the car.. uggg... but I enjoy spending time with the boys, she and hubby go run around and I do the grandma thing and spoil them lol... also I am taking 2 to 3 nights a week Zumba..woohoo that is so much fun, dance to get fit... here is a link to the wonderful instructor and gals we spend the eve with... http://www.zumbasudbury.ca/photos/ (click on Zumba to see) Carla and Peter are awesome...We went out last night (girls night out) with Carla and a 12 other ladies whom we all hit it off really good.. so much fun..scarry..lol..well time to get going and catch up on quilting lol... Ok, so today was a little nuts... lol.... run and run and more running tomorrow.. should be better soon... daughter still needs a few things to be ironed out...I have worked on one of the ladies (a quilt guild) a tinner... this is the second round and I will take a picture and post it when I've completed it..also I'm working on a mystery quilt which is being done through our guild..this is fun..... Well, tomorrow is Remembrance Day and send all my thoughts and prayers with all the soldiers out there present and past... Also today was my dad's birthday, he would have been a 74 years young he passed away almost 8 years ago in 2 weeks still miss him. Wow, can't believe how time has flown and I've come back here LOLOL,,, sorry for not being here much but short and sweet explanation... Daughter (middle child) and her children (grand kids) 4 boys drove here all the way from Northern Manitoba this July with minimum stuff in a small little Kia Rio car, she drove 3 days (patiently with the boys) she had, had enough of the rigmarole there with ex...With little $$ and not much stuff except for personal papers and some pics and all the quilts I made (ah so sweet of her ) etc... they moved in temporarily here... .. we had downsize to a 2 bedroom and one downstairs (which also, son moved into) and there we were,,,wall to wall bodies lolol.. daughter and twins in living room (furniture all up against the walls) and the older two boys in my sewing room...being close to all my family and friends, there would be no way I wouldn't help out.. any hoot... they moved into their own place last weekend and we are still finding more things to move for them.. furniture (lots donated from friends and family) essentials, everything you could think of to start all over.... No feeling sorry for all of us cause we are so happy to have them all close by and spoiling them with lots of love. PS: I would do this all over again in a heart beat, love all my kids , grandkids and all family members and friends...

Ok.. so ... I'm sewing some Small Stuff...lol... in between waiting for surprise (I'll share later time) and now keeping myself from going crazy....sew....sewing few xmas gifts...has anyone else tried these Magic Pillowcases....wow..they are so cool and quick and yes, matching them up to quilts I've made as gifts..so.. Also had purchase a little kit from this lovely lady who came to do a trunk show at our guild (she designed the pattern and more) her name is Janet Rice-Bredin..check her out..(click on her name) the pattern is called " Floral Celebrations Table Set" I had posted previously the fabric and pattern ...so cute, and very french country..so someone special will be getting this set at Xmas..lucky ducky..I also got a few more of her patterns..Not sure about all yous lovely folks but it's been pretty hot here and not much rain..sew sewing is slow going... Wow.. time ... I need more time to get on here and blog... I've been having problems getting on ,,, dum router..thinks need to buy new one... anyhoot.. had our quilt banquet..that went really well... tried to upload pics but I keep getting disconnected because of router ..so I'll keep trying lol.. then we (a few ladies) went to our quilt retreat at the Red Lodge on Manitoulin Island..and between all this.. we've been at the trailer kinda fixing up the lot and making it cozy cumfy..lol... hope to get my pics on here.. OH,, also met my son in Marathon , he wanted us to keep him company half way to here, he's moved home..again...lol.....now he is settling in, he'll be seeking a new job but he wants to wait til next month Mr camp all summer lol.. loving he time off and sucky mama's boy......they (hubby and son) had their birthday yesterday (yep same date) and we will be celebrating on Saturday in form of a big BBQ..(my mom, sisters, bros in laws, us) should be good...We are also experiencing heat wave and weather network keeps calling for thunder storm but... :( ..only drizzled and made the humidity worse... hope it cools off soon or the air conditioner will be running til then... anyways... This has been so crazy few weeks... time?? did anyone see that clock?? Well, mine is running so fast, it's like a time warp on fast forwards..lol.. I have finished the mystery quilt that I participated at one great quilt shop here in Sudbury (Country Quilters) but now just needing to add the binding.. somewhere in the time zone LOL... also we have been going to the Island and trying to re-arrange the lot, trailer etc..we had 3 loads of some type of gravel and levelling off few areas... next, I planted few native cedars from that area... they really grow quite nicely and will be my fence kinda..... and the last 3 weeks, driving school bus and have done 4 different routes...hope this one is the one I can keep til end of school lol. We (hubby and I) took the bus today (had permission to do so) and went on a dry run... had to follow this route sheet they give you and pretend to pick up and then drop off kids...... 3 hours driving the bus and before sat 2 1/2 hours from the Island to home... boy, I should have just set up a blanky in the back seat and camped there ..just kidding LOL.... hope everyone had a great few weeks and also a supper Mother's day... next weekend is the long weekend here in Canada... so more camping.. oh, last weekend , we couldn't do much out in the lot cause it snowed , yes the white shi ..stuff was there... and made lots of mucky mud... ...next weekend we hope to run pipes to the nice neighbor and will have running water so no more hauling it and so on... posting few pics... hope I can get on here more to update yous all....thanks for being patient and helpful......love yous all.... Hello , just popping in...wow.. nothing like being so bssssy you forget what day, time and date it is... phew... have to slow down.. well, I have been sewing,,, we also have been to the Island (Manitoulin) at our trailer.. can you believe how early you can go camping at..it was fun.. this weekend my son decided to pop in and has a short visit with his friend Jen.. and yes she is only a friend...he arrived in Toronto Wednesday, then came on by on Friday (5pm) then back to Toronto on Saturday (530am)... short visit my son..lol... he decided (he said) to take a mini vacation and boy was it ever... he left this morning from T. O. to Wpg, and waited for 6 hours to get the bus to Thompson...lol.. flights are outrageous from Wpg to Thsn.. anyhow..he spent the 6 of those hours texting me, said he was bored lolololol.. phew.. .. lol.. so I have also been training for the last three weeks to be a school bus driver...woohoo passed my written tests and then road test... now I am an official (BZ license) bus driver (air brakes and all) I drove Friday on my first route.. have to put in 10 hours with an experienced driver then I'm on my own.. picking up and dropping off kids .. so that's what I have been hiding til I passed lololol...Im so excited... off weekends, holidays, short day. and summer off , and a little extra $$ ... Today, I pinned a queen size quilt to my Gracie... all set up to quilt... have to finish a few more UFO's to feel like a accomplished a project... starting another few projects and want to show something finished...lol...woohoo.. here's a few pics just for fun... Wow,, time is surely flying by,,, last weekend we went to the Island at our trailer... OMG... this is really early spring/summer ... we are going to be doing a lot of travelling back and forth for a bit..need to fix up or lot and then we can settle in and putts around doing whatever we feel like doing lol..but in the mean time, in between , I have been sewing but not finishing any projects...I need to finish something LOL...help...is anyone else doing this??? OK, what's going on ?? SPRING OR ?? what???? Even in Northern Manitoba is seriously melting.. apparently they have almost no snow left... that is so unusual not in moons that, that has happened , that isn't good sign for what's ahead, No snow in the bushes means trouble...hot hot hot summer??? Now for other stuff...lol... I am going to try busting my stash, that make take a long long long time..what was I thinking..lol...started a few projects , my dear sister called and said she knew I just could make her something so she took a picture (at her work) and sent it via email..well I knew I had come across these little buggers on the net somewhere and Bingo,,,found the pattern lol..she wanted me to make her the fingers mitts for when she nukes her meal at work, she walks to the caf and walks back to her office and it's hot hot hot...of course one of her co-worker has this cute things and well long story short, I made her a pair and of course myself, but now she would like a few more for at home...lol... Princess we call her...reason for it...but we love her anyways... I also finished working on the Pat Sloan's Spring Fling... can't post pics yet as we have to send out end of next week... shh .. also purchased a book called "FARMER'S WIFE" and started to make a few of the blocks...this is quite interesting story and I am going to pluck away at it here and there, not rushing this one , it's just a challenge and maybe have it finished (top) in a year or so...lol...so off I go to sew more mitts..also had a wonderful evening at the guild, I should take the camera, all the ladies who participated in the bargello workshop brought their placemats and wow, all different colors all made them look awesome..great job ladies.... so for now, Ciao, Adios, Salute, Night, Bonjours mes amis..

Ok , so I'm having withdrawls ,,how about you???? I did manage to finish in Our quilting Olympics a few UFO's ...even with my having to bring in Jan (-ome) and dig out Ken (-more) to finish off few projects.. She came back with the diagnostic of "a loose screw" lolol... the darning foot , he showed me , has a tiny screw wayyy backk and it was loose, reason why I was frustrated when I was stippling my Flip Flop quilt... shoot.. so hubby had fun with that cause when he came in the shop, all he heard was "you had a loose screw" ...I'll leave it like that.... but ... managed to sew ... lol... here are a few pics...also finished a ufo which is going to a group in Ontario who are workers in an orphanage in Haiti and shhh. also almost done with my Spring Fling Swap... can't post pic til that person receives it...lol... and below also pictures of our Saturday mini workshop... Yea!!! Friday...I'm almost done washing, drying and ironing and organizing and going through fabrics....PHEW.. last stretch... yea!!! anyhoot..as promise a few pic..but have to say made another farmers' tote (atkinson designs) and I have done just about everything LOLOL..have you ever gotten so involved that, well, my machine was clucking..and couldn't figure out what the... maybe the bobbin wasn't doing it's thing??? or oh no need to bring in to get fixed...LOLOL.. I stopped after a little meandering and wow... found where the clucking was coming from...and mrs fix it.. solved the mystery hehehehe except now stuck ,hummm check the picture out...lol... finished the bag and found another ufo that I'll finish and donate to a lady in our guild who is going to give the donated quilts to a gentle man (volunteer of the orphanages) who in turn will deliver it personally to one of the orphanages in Haiiti... not much of a spectacular quilt, but a quilt for a child... busting stash ...so Ciao, Salute, Adios, Night nite , Bonsoir mes ami...OH...Saturday a quilt day, we are doing bargello placemats, should be fun with the ladies from the guild..will take pics..ttyl..

Wow,,, what a great week woohoo.. I have been watching the Olympics..hope you are too....love sports.. and curling is my fav of all.. love it..GO CANADA GO... I've been a little busy so just wanted too put a little post here to let you know I'm still kicking...lol..I'll post some pic tomorrow with some of the sewing I've been doing..I also have been washing and ironing my out of control stash..:^( I had to , the closet I painted still the smell of stale smoke, the elderly lady who lived in this house was a very heavy smoker, I'm an ex smoker so that has made it weird.. I really wanted to think I wouldn't be one of those ex but,,,uggg... I have my fabrics in beautiful clear bins and though would be a great idea, but it turns out that the smell got into them and I couldn't figure out how come it that smell was still hanging.. holy cow she said LOL... I didn't realize the stash I have and found some fabric that I love over again...hummm I'll have to start busting and stop buying for a while.... except for some that you really really need to get cause you don't have that special color to add into the project your doing....hope I'm not the only fabriholic doing this ..I actually must have like a few cause I bought like 6 meters of it and wow,,, need to use.... anyhow hope you let me know if your stashing away and not remembering what you have like me hehehehehe... soo Ciao, Salute, Adios, Nighty nite, bonsoirs mes amis

Phew,,, can't stay still lolol... HURRAY for me!!!!!!... here are a few things that I'm working on.. I think I'll have to finish a few projects before starting new ones...what do you think LOLOLOL... In between sewing ,, I am doing a few reno's ... oh dear , again I have created myself more work ,,, but will so look nice once it's done even though my house is small and cute, I will have done some great updates (on a smaller scale) ..the bathroom is almost completed (again) I (mois ) put the blueboard in (cut it and screw on) , then the tiling (I did and also did the cuts) , then grout (I did) (just drying now)and all I did was watched a lot of DYI shows and youtube how to.... lol..just need to paint now..and put things back together... also want to remove the brick wall that was housing an old I call Chalet gas fireplace,,we think it was approximately put in in the late 60's... so... I have plans hehehe... we have an updated gas insert and wow.. have to sketch on paper to figure out what we need to build this.. Might be few months before that's done... also working on sewing projects... bag, runner, queen size quilt (cumberland), block lotto for the guild and few others... All week I have been watching the women's Scotts tournament of Hearts and wow... great teams ,,,now down to the nitty gritty... whomever wins tonight will be in the finals tomorrow against Jennifer Jones (Canada) team from Winnipeg... so will be shortening this blog to get myself in my curling armchair (lol) just kidding..but I am looking forward to this game.. soooooooo here are a few pics to share what I've been doing.... Sorry, having few little quirks with my laptop lately,,, really slow ...think I'll have to bring it in to get checked (poor baby).......I have been stitching and also treadmilling lol.... last Saturday , we had a mini workshop for this tote bag (see pics)... a few of us attended and had fun.. it was mostly all done by the end of the day... had to finished off handles and done.... also working still ,,, on the Cumberland quilt... a lot of half triangles and took up the floor in the upstairs living room to lay it out to audition it...now piecing it together...boy oh boy,,,I sure hope my oldest will love it... I am pleased so far.. Guild on Monday night was fun,,, few Monday's ago, this lady came and did a trunk show (ops forgot to bring camera) and most of us are participating in a project with her..she does landscape wall hangings and they are awesome... this will be on a time of few Monday night (homework lol).. also same time we have the block lotto going, and a Tinner once a month.. this is surely keeping us ladies occupied....lol....on Feb 20th, is a Saturday for bargello placemats little mini workshop...woohoo...at least this is giving me an excuse to complete some project..lol... and start to make gifts for next Xmas...lol...this weekend we (hubby and I) are bowling with a great bunch for my cousin's little guy's hockey fundraising...that'll keep us rolling LOLOLOL...also have a new BOM at Bunny Hill Designs ,,, Oh, also made another great soup, low cal to boot... it's a creamy zuchinni soup (1 point ww) if you'd like this one, I'll share ....lol... How many of yous are in the making of a NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION FOR JANUARY 1st , humm???? well I could never do it.. years ago I made a resolution to not make resolution on the January 1st....My saying is "WHY WAIT, DO IT NOW" LOL...so I am starting this resolution starting tomorrow Monday December 28th.... Not sure about myself lately LOL... I got side tracked with finishing quite a few projects... (shhhh) will post the pics after the big day in December LOL(shhhhh)...this year (blah blah blah they say lol) yep,,, I have be a busy little elf.... and have attended a few great gatherings... last Monday was the quilt group (Rayside Balfour Stitchery Guild) Xmas banquet....oh my,,,, what a good bunch of coconuts...love them all... the theme this year was Las Vagas.. they (committee) did a super job....BRAVO BRAVO Ladies.... whoot hoooo..... and of course what completed this, was the great entertainment... who else but (guess who) appeared... and there performance ,,,well,,, what can we say... great outfits and singing and the whole shish ka boodles.... so much fun... one table was for the brown bag (fat 1/4 xmas fabric) exchange, then a table with xmas exchange gifts and of course the table for secret sister gifts...and one of the important tables...the buffet.... ummm was such great food... and most important ... GREAT BUNCH OF COCONUTS....lol.lol...love yas all ... well, enjoy some a few pics of this event....also last night.... another group gathering (coffee group) a total including myself , 12 beautiful ladies... (and coconuts) LOLOL... we had a good supper at a restaurant, then off to Lynda's for deserts and some wine, coffee, tea etc... and gift exchange... we played a game with this ...stealing and well, lots of fun.... THANK YOU TO ALL .... theses ladies,,, in the guild and coffee LADIES have made me feel welcomed into there group.... some have said that its like we all have been together for years... other groups (guilds) have commented that this guild had the best fun, loving , helpful, caring group.... so grateful that we found each other... especially you MACKIE.... Love you .... now off I go to finish wrapping the secrets (shhhhhh) and tomorrow sending them off to there destinations....oh,,,didn't forget,,,will post a pic of the give-a-way..and date in the next few days...... so ..... Opps,,,has this week gone by .....OUCH, sorry sorry,,, I'm sure just like most of yous out in surf land, its the season of rush, hustle, bustle and etc.... just to let everyone know ,,,I haven't forgotten about my giveaway, just getting things ready to post that information soon,,, couldn't figure out what to give a way LOL..... I have been finishing up some UFO's that have to go out soon , shhhh,,,, don't tell please, also one for here lol...,, last Monday at the quilt guild we had a little project we were doing, using the Serge, but you can also use regular machine as long as you have zigzag stitch on it.. we made a head towel thingy LOL... when you wash your hair then wrap the wet hair into this , start off with using one bath towel... and you make 2 of those and 2 hand mitts and 4 little facecloths... soo cute and great gift idea... also finishing up other projects,,,again ,,,shhhh will post pics later for those...and guess what ,,,yep,,, SNOW SNOW,,,hummm maybe we will have white Xmas after all...today was the first day ,,, and just this morning we went to the Island (Manitoulin Island) and picked a lot to park the trailer on ,,, on a lease and was really really reasonable price... couldn't pass that up,,, my sis in law is also on that same little area and I am sure we will have a hoot next summer this lot is an all year round lot.. any hoot...lol... signing off for now,, so Ciao, Adios, Salute, Nighty nite , Bonsoirs mes amis...

Well, I just can't believe how time have gone by....phew, so glad to squeeze in a few minutes to post... spent the week visiting, quilting, cleaning, socializing, working..what am I doing working...lol... had to squeeze that one in to but not sure for how long,,this is starting to interrupt my time, lol , oh well will work this out but not for too long.. anyways.... today we had what I call "quilt Saturday",, Maxine had a little project that some of our guild members wanted to do and learn using few techniques that some haven't tried or have done... most hadn't tried using the blanket stitch on the sewing machines.. I just love it...looks very countrish..or antiquishy or ... but looks cool.. I love also the satin stitch using the machine when doing applique's ..... I was once told by a super teacher, great LADY, (Jan H.) that you should just try to play with the stitches your machine has and not to be scared to...well.. it's fun,,, dont hesitate to try, the only thing you can do is have to rip it , rip it in turn you learn by the mistakes.... we had such a good time... chatting, quilting, sharing. etc.... woohoo...our group has such great ladies... one of which (Dot) is 89 years YOUNG.. she is a whoot.. great spirits, witty, saucy, intelligent, wise, and all around fun to be with.. also other's that were there was, Maxine, Pierette #1, Pierrette #2, Lily, Diane, Denise, Darlene, Julienne, Hugette, Barb, Joanne, Gail, Alice, Connie, Dot, Marj and myself...our leader M, she had a little prize,,, the winner was Pierrette#2, I was so nosey to see , I forgot to take a pic...ops..sorry, was so cute, a little xmas stocking with applique on it and a set of candles with tray all this in a pretty box,, shoot I was to slow LOL.. another win was last Saturday hubby and myself went to a little arts and craft thing here in our community and hubby won one of the door prize lol.. a beautiful xmas wreath..I'll be hanging that one for sure.... so for now...Ciao, Salute, Adios, Nighty nite, Bonsoirs mes amies.... oh,,, I will be posting this week a give a way..for my 200th post...so stay tune and see.......

Just had an email from , Paulette at Sweet P Quilting and Creation I can't believe it... I won one of the giveaway she had..go check her blog and thank you Paulette , wonderful creations for sure...maybe I should purchase a lotto ticket (not that lucky) lol..... Also on Oct 26th our guild meeting (forgot to post this) I receive a gift from my secret sister, just wanted to thank her again. posted a few pics....cute little treasures... and then this week , phew,,, been busy bee, trying to finish some of my xmas gifts, quilted a few (6 all together) lol...don't want to post any more cause dd's they kinda check to see what I've been doing..dont want to spoil it, I will when the time is here though...I also made a project for the guild (block lotto) which includes a group of 9 ladies to get together and make this lap quilt,,, I had made the sample first but didn't complete it...only had the top...I'm just about done now need to add the binding and VOILA...as I said last winter ... I am soooo sooooooo sorry for not posting,,, I decided (humm) to paint the closet downstairs... I went to get my jacket to get ready for cold weather (blahh) and wow,,, the smell hit me in the face... it smelt like a musty (basementy) smell,,,I pulled out all the coats, shoes, boots etc... out of there , threw things into the wash and had to clean and paint the closet...holy moly,,, re -organized it and now the smell is much nicer... then I went to quilt on my Gracie and the stitch regular not going (light was on but nobody home LOL) had to make a call and K. the owner of the quilting shop I purchased from made a house call to make sure everything was plugged in (dah as if I didn't do it) anyhoot, long story short,,,I will be receiving one sometime in the near futur .. hope it works lol.... I did however used the manual stitcher and did one quilt... ... Of course I was in the mood for sewing , I went to pull out fabric from my huge closet in sewing room and ,,,yep POW it hit me in the face again (boy, I should be bruised) with the smell of cigarette smoke (as an ex smoker , that was cruel) ... as per hubby, the previous owner (elderly lady) must have sat in that closet and smoked with the door closed..this was the second closet now , I should have done that when we moved in last Oct...(1 year now). ..OH WHY OH WHY,,,. of course I created myself a MONSTER lol... out everything went , painted ,,smell good...but now hummm I re-organized by bins so I can find by color... ,,, lol your probably bored by now reading this, but I decided that wasn't enough so I am now organizing the whole shish ka boodle... the sewing room will also get a paint job this weekend...and hopefully that's it..for now LOL.... here is a few pics of the changes and painting and messes lol.... oh, I have to take a picture of the next block lotto I have put together for our guild for Nov... the top is done but didn't quilt yet..I will put here Friday...so ... Well, I had a great thanksgiving weekend,,, worked hard at getting stuff sewn..lol... it's about time LOL....anyhow, I worked on few Halloween things, and one kids quilt , quilted on the gracie II.... and also worked on my little snowman I won..thanks again Linda at Lavender Ridge ... we had a good meal at my mom's...turkey, stuffing, ham etc.. and then had to say "I shouldn't have eaten that" LOL but that's ok...walking to work a little over 3km is burning it off,,, feels good ,, not too hot and not to cold out there,,,just right for walking... (FOR NOW LOL)... I came home today to a little surprise... woohoo,, hubby went to the mail. and brought back a little box... the friendship swap is here... Thank you to Barbara (WA) such a cute bag and she also put in a few little goodies... .....This has been a fun month for me.... thanks to yous all.... well signing off for now... posting few pics... HEHE,, I'm in aaaweee... so many quilt shows around here.. two weekend in a row ,, now my head is full of ideas and can't seam to find time to do them all at once..lol... we had a wonderful time ladies. last weekend was the Earlton big International Pull Match and quilt show...phew....and this weekend was the Sudbury Quilting and Stitchery guild's.. "quilt on the rock" Here is a few pics I took but didn't take with my good camera , so some pics are not that great but you can see what it's about , was funny cause we ran into many of our ladies from our guild at the show.. I hope they had a good time like we did.. and tomorrow is our quilt guild gathering and can't wait to visit with all my gals.. they are such great ladies.. OK, so far so good,,lol,,, finished 2 single size quilt tops, now needing to put on the gracie and quilt them,,, started also 2 baby ones for two more grandkids..pheew, I'm so getting there,, I will have 6 quilts done for xmas for all the grandkids....Monday was a really great guild meet... we (quite a few of us gals) are going to bus it to a quilt show in Earlton Ontario,,, there is some kind of tractor pull thingy and also a big quilt show.. that will be such fun,, only thing is the bus leaves here at 6:30AM :( so early lol ,, wow takes few hours to get there.. but like I said , should be a good time..humm we were told to bring snack and drink for the bus trip, what to bring...lol...needing to keep it healthy , trying to get back into shape.and no not that one lol....OH I would post pics of the quilt tops but daughters usually check my posts..soooo,,, I'll have to sneak them in here soon.. for now.... GUILD TIME

Wow, it has gone by fast this time... summer just started and bingo, it's done... and now back into what seams a lot fun. to come....lol... Monday night was our first night back for our guild... a quilting we will come, a quilting we will come, hi how a quilting sewing we will go..... the meeting went great, lots of hugs from all... and I am official now the block lottery lady..I went to Maxine's for some help, and wow, what a great lady and friend.. I got home and couldn't wait to start my lottery block (project) and what seamed to bee no time at all,,,here it is, all done my sample for all to see... well, hope it will go over good.. we have our own kinda version of block lottery, it not always just a block, we sometimes have little projects... so I picked out a Halloween one since my take over of this position doesn't start til last Monday of September... I will then start and will be in time for that theme..... Oh, if any of my members are reading this,,,shhhhh,,, and don't laugh to hard ok...Also, If anyone has any good suggestions or blocks they would share or ???? send them over my way,,,I'll need all the help I can get LOLOLOL.so for now..Ciao, Salute, Adios, Nighty nite, Bonsoirs mes amis...

FULL WEEKEND

OK, so,,, I've had a Full Weekend , and also this week included...lol... to start, I am now employed part time at your favorite coffee place LOL.....yeppers,, figured that I needed to add more into my schedule hahaha,,, there is a few things (renos) that I want to do and well, with one pension at the moment it's a little different for me, so I decided, I would fixed that for now....lol.... Pat pat,,,I did really well,, then came Saturday, at the quilt shop "it's sew easy" the owner (Chrystal) and her quilt friends have been involved in making a raffle quilt for donations to the Breast Cancer Awareness..she donates fabric for the blocks and Nancy donates her time in the quilting ...so volunteers donate their time to make one block for this quilt...Maxine and I gladly went and made a block each..... After I came home I sewed more on a quilt for gift... well I had to unsew and resew blocks,,,the quilt was made for a toddler's size bed and now two of the grandsons' are in bunks soooo,,, had to make it bigger LOL..my oh my, lesson learned,,bigger is better LOL... also finished the other blocks for the second quilt for grandson #2... I'll have to take pics when both are done.. Sunday, I attended a baby shower for my cousin's daughter (one of the twins LOL) I had fun, enjoyed my relatives,,aunt, cousins, cousin's daughters etc...and friends,,, what a group,,, loved it , games and all,,,,, so for now,,, not much pics,,, Ciao, Salute, Adios, Nighty nite, and Bonsoir mes amis...

Wow, this is Fall and we are getting Summer temp,,,I'm not complaining at all...this past long weekend (labour day) was awesome.. we went to Halfway Lake again, and enjoyed every minute... Hubby and I were alone, (in camper LOL).. we did visit a few times other campers and enjoyed the tranquility... I actually picked up a book and read..yep,,, I relax and read..that is hard to do when I'm so use to go go go..lol.. we parked on Thursday, humm Friday during the day I cleaned the camper (organize somewhat) and was shining up the outside... I then realized whow,,, relax lol ...so I did.... we had a few little visitors, rabbits (was 4 of them) and chipmunks, squirrels and of course this bird (not sure what it is yet but as big as blue jay)....Now I am going to get back into sewing, need to get quilts made for Xmas... sooo... So, I see we are now having a great week of summer ..lol... WOOHOO,,, better late than never I say...seams like more is coming this weekend,,,and yep,,,another longggg weekend.. I have done some sewing, between raindrops, cleaning house etc.... Funny how when you get to this stage of life, you , or maybe its just me ??? I kinda stop sweating the small stuff.. not stressing myself and stopping to smell the roses... this is more fun at this point of my life lol...I tell my kids (adult ones lol) to not sweat the small stuff, enjoy every day cause you don't know what tomorrow will bring... so .... lol .... Oh did I say that we are camping ALONE.. only the two of us... wow.. what do we do LOL .. hummm 4 days ..... LOL.... Sheesh, cant believe it... I finally finished the (top) mystery quilt from Pat's quilt shop... only needing to quilt it, I'll have to wait til later before doing this,, I need to make 3 more smaller quilts first for grand kids to send for Xmas..I don't want to wait til last thing.sooo.... I also made a block for the quilt guild block lotto.. our chair lady for it gave everyone a jar with fabric at our last meeting to do over the summer....well....what summer LOL..opps sorry ... anyhow..I just need to satin stitch it and I'll be done... lol..feels like I have accomplished something besides visiting with son and friends and camping and site seeing... lol... oh well , time flies when you keep buzy and have fun doing it... We have til Thursday am with our baby boy (28yrs old) and then he's off to Thompson and he'll be back to work...awe,,, we sure will miss that boy... :^( ...... posting a few pics, oh just received my name for the friendship bag .. this is so cool...I hope that she will be happy with the bag I send her ,,,soon,,, so.... Another week has gone by in a flash , wow,, Still have son here, visiting and trying to do and see everything and everyone all in a short 3 1/2 weeks... my goodness how this summer has gone by in a flash...last weekend we had another full one...Saturday we went over to my cousin's cousin's place,,, she just purchased a small lodge, we gave her some help to clear up the yard etc...she's not finished, this may take a year to get everything set to go..some cabins are in bad need of tlc but they will be awesome... that same evening we then stopped and had ourselves a fun time..quadding and just being silly, on Sunday, we then all the gang, went over to where other family members (aunts and uncles and mom)'s camping area..we went boating , tubing etc...what a wonderful time... I don't remember having this much fun in many years,,, eeks pinch me LOL... I feel younger all the time...lol... I did work today on the Friendship bag.. finished it,, not sure what other exciting adventures is in the plan , but I do know that this upcoming weekend, once again going camping with sister and other friends ... should be great..... so I'll post a few pics, and notes and don't forget to check out the Friendship Swap Bag... didn't take long to make....lol...if I can squeeeeezzzzzeeee that one in...I'm sure you can too...so....
